National Guard Educational Foundation is launching a major fundraising campaign to provide the resources to carry out our mission of educating the public about the National Guard. This three-year campaign will provide the support needed to preserve and promote the heritage of America’s National Guard. Our new museum plays an important part in our plan of creating a premier educational facility dedicated to honoring America’s citizen soldiers.
The Foundation’s location, a few blocks from the U.S. Capitol and the Smithsonian, places it at the epicenter of American history. With twenty million visitors coming to Washington, D.C. each year to visit its museums and historic sites, the National Guard Memorial Museum will benefit from the active visitorship of locals and tourists.
To stand squarely as a leader in the arena of public education, we will focus our efforts on assuring that our museum and library are up-to-date and accessible to all visitors, on-site and online.
