Captain Darin E. Huss is the Commander, 189th Transportation Company (EAC), Norfolk, Nebraska. He also has command and control over the 317th and 181st Engineer Firefighting Detachments also located in Norfolk, Nebraska. On the full-time side Captain Huss is an AGR Officer and his current assignment is the Plans and Operations Officer J2/3 for the Joint Forces Headquarters – Nebraska. Captain Huss was born on 30 September, 1971 in Nebraska City, Nebraska and enlisted in the Nebraska Army National Guard 15 August 1988, serving as an enlisted infantry soldier. Upon completion of Officer Candidate School (Nebraska Military Academy), he was commissioned as an infantry officer on 15 August, 1999.
Captain Huss’ background is in Personnel, Training Management and Operations. He has served in Southwest Asia, Honduras, Panama and Germany. He has been directly involved in Operation Desert Shield / Storm, Operation Enduring Freedom, Operation Noble Eagle and Operation Iraqi Freedom.
