Scope and Content:
(1879): Constitution and By-Laws of the Association. Reading of the Bill, “An Act to Reorganize and Discipline the Militia of the United States” which was at that time in the hands of the Committee on Military Affairs of the House of Representatives. A committee was formed within the convention and several reports were made by this committee on the effectiveness of this bill. A report by General Maury on the behalf of the Special Committee appointed at a prior convention on how to promote efficient military education.
