The National Guard Educational Foundation will unveil its new website at the end of this week. Developed by the Virginia-based company Balance Interactive, the new NGEF site will feature a streamlined design and enhanced functionality. Visitors to the site will be able to learn about NGEF, submit requests for historical information about the Guard, and support NGEF through event registration and online donations.
A blog will highlight important moments in Guard history and also will be used available for Guardsmen to submit stories about their Guard-related experiences. Finally, the site will reinvigorate the Guard Muster, the foundation’s permanent register of the nation’s Guardsmen both past and present.
“The National Guard Educational Foundation is delighted to launch its new website,” said Anne Armstrong, the deputy director of NGEF. “Telling about the past, present and future of the National Guard is an ongoing mission, and the new website is designed specifically to enhance that ability.”
The website will allow those who are not able to visit the museum to discover the museum’s galleries online and learn more about the Guard. Visitors to the site can keep up to date on NGEF’s latest activities and become involved in the foundation’s growth in numerous ways.
Luke Guthrie, the NGEF director, said, “Visitors can register to participate in events such as the Annual NGEF Golf Tournament, the Army Ten Miler and the National Guard birthday celebration. The new website will substantially increase the ease with which donors can support our work and participate in events.”
