“The Citizen-Soldier in World War II” Gallery Donations

The National Guard Memorial Museum is seeking artifacts related to National Guard history during the World War II era.  In preparation for the renovation of our World War II era gallery, we are hoping to collect a variety of objects including uniforms, equipment, mementos, documents and photos that will enable us to better tell the story of the Guard experience during the war.  We encourage any Guard veterans, relatives of Guardsmen who served during the war, collectors and others to contact us regarding donations to the museum.

We envision a gallery that encapsulates the Guard’s importance to the combat effort abroad and that recognizes the Guard’s contributions to the Allied victory in World War II.  Help us preserve the Guard’s legacy by contacting the museum’s curator at amelia.meyer@ngaus.org.
